What type of therapy is this?

I provide a research-based, trauma-sensitive therapy called Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). This is a talk therapy that uses the in-the-moment experiences of the client to help them move through unhelpful (or straight up hurtful) internal habits and heal from their hurts. I also utilize elements of mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

What should I expect?

Almost all the work we will do will happen in-session. I very rarely assign therapy "homework”. I may suggest lifestyle changes or new approaches to relationships, however I believe that the most effective change is client-directed.
